Kaiser Aluminum ups price on some soft-alloy products
NEW YORK, Sept 22 (Reuters) - Kaiser Aluminum Corp.'s (NYSE:KLU - news) Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. subsidiary said Friday it will raise prices by 5 cents a lb on selected soft-alloy extruded products.
The increase is effective with all new orders received on or after September 25 and with existing orders shipped beginning September 30, a Kaiser statement said.
New prices apply to extrusions including solids, semi-hollows and hollows; rod, bar and all sizes of plate; square and rectangular tube and structural tube and pipe.
Extruded seamless pipe and tube, air breather quality seamless tube, and air cylinder drawn seamless tube are exempt from the increase, the company said.
The raise will not apply to transactions covered under existing agreements.
