Kaiser Aluminum raises 6000-series plate price

NEW YORK, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp.'s (NYSE:KLU - news) Kaiser Aluminum Corp. subsidiary, said it raised prices by 10 cents a pound on 6000-series smooth plate products.

The company said the new price becomes effective with all new orders placed on or after October 11, and for all shipments as of January 1, regardless of order entry date.

The increase will not apply to transactions covered by existing contract price agreements, Kaiser said.
