Kaiser Aluminum Names Kaplan Vice President of Taxes
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2001--Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (NYSE:KLU - news) said its board of directors has elected Edward A. Kaplan as vice president of taxes. In this role, he will have responsibility for all tax matters relating to Kaiser and its operating subsidiary, Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation.
Kaplan, 42, was previously the company's director of taxes, a position he held since 1999. He joined the organization in 1991 as associate director of tax planning after holding tax-related positions with the Houston offices of Arthur Andersen LLP and Shell Oil Company. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University and is a Texas Certified Public Accountant.
