Kaiser ups prices on flat, coiled sheet products

NEW YORK, Aug 22 (Reuters) - Kaiser Aluminum Corp's (NYSE:KLU - news) Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp operating subsidiary said Wednesday it raised prices on its 2000/7000-series flat sheet products by 5 percent and 2000/7000-series coiled sheet by 3 percent.

Price increases take effect with all new orders placed on or after Aug 21 and for all shipments from Nov 5 and after, regardless of order entry date.

Increases will not apply to transactions covered by existing contract price agreements.
