Locked out Kaiser Aluminum employees are preparing to go back to work, but this weekend they gathered for a little fun. It was Union Appreciation day on Saturday, time for relaxing and food at the Playfair racetrack. The event was free for the locked out workers. The Union is expected to go back to work by the end of the month.

Local #329 President Dan Russel had this to add, “We’re here to show our appreciation to all these people out here that stood the picket lines, did the corporate campaign and gutted it out for 24 months”.

Despite the weather several hundred people showed up for the event that wrapped up around 10:00 last night.
